Data Riders is a data and artificial intelligence company from Belo Horizonte. Started in 2018 with data for autonomous vehicles, it built its reputation in mining consulting, governance, and auditing, and today develops and operates tailored AI solutions for complex operations across any industry, guided by the same rule: AI accelerates, people decide.
Autonomous vehicles and simulation
Data Riders began with sensor data processing to train autonomous vehicles. Fernando served as a Udacity mentor in autonomous driving and led Skoods, an open autonomous racing competition. This period established our operational rigor in systems engineering, sensor data, and real-time decision-making, including 3D mine layout simulations with autonomous haulage routes.
Mining consulting, governance, and audit
Data rigor applied to mining: tailings dam governance, water stewardship, geotechnical oversight, TSM gap assessments, AI-assisted GISTM audits, and the launch of GISTM.ai in 2025. It represents the most demanding testing ground a data company can operate in.
