The flow

From documents to a formal pre-audit

A three-step pipeline modelled on The Copper Mark's official assurance methodology.

Step 1

Upload to the document library

Drop in any number of documents — PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX (up to 50 MB each). Each upload is auto-summarized, tagged with key topics, and classified against the 33 RRA criteria so the system knows which criteria each document supports.

Step 2

Run an assessment

Name the site/operation, pick which documents to include (default: all), and click Begin Assessment. The system evaluates all 33 criteria in batches of 6 concurrent runs, streaming findings to the dashboard as each criterion resolves.

Step 3

Read the formal report

An editorial-style printable report with cover page, outcome banner, executive summary, criterion-by-criterion findings, evidence quotes, gaps and recommendations. Export as PDF using your browser's Print to PDF.

The 33 RRA criteria

Three pillars. Thirty-three criteria.

The Risk Readiness Assessment of The Copper Mark covers the full ESG spectrum of an upstream copper mining operation.

Governance pillar

Business integrity, transparency & risk

Anti-bribery, business ethics, due diligence on conflict-affected areas, governance of risk, transparent disclosure and grievance mechanisms.

Social pillar

Human rights, communities & people

Human rights, security forces, labour practices, occupational health and safety, stakeholder engagement, community development, indigenous peoples, resettlement.

Environmental pillar

Environment, climate & resources

Tailings, water stewardship, biodiversity, GHG emissions and energy, waste, hazardous materials, mine closure and environmental compliance.

Performance determination

Verdicts use The Copper Mark's exact definitions

Each criterion gets one of three verdicts, plus a 2–3 sentence rationale, verbatim evidence quotes attributed to the source document, specific gaps from the criterion's requirements, and concrete recommendations mapped one-to-one to gaps.

Fully Meets

Designed, implemented, monitored, reviewed

The site has a management system aligned with all core requirements, demonstrates effective consistent implementation, monitors and tracks it, and reviews effectiveness with updates as appropriate.

Partially Meets

System exists, gaps remain

Anything that does not fall into "Does Not Meet" or "Fully Meets". The system is designed but gaps exist in alignment, implementation, monitoring or review.

Does Not Meet

No aligned system, or unable to demonstrate

No management system aligned with the core requirements, OR a designed system that does not align, OR inability to demonstrate consistent implementation.

Insufficient Evidence — soft flag

When no documents in the submitted set address a criterion meaningfully, the system flags Insufficient Evidence with a list of expected-but-absent requirements. This is surfaced to the user and does not count toward a formal verdict.

Overall outcome

The site-level determination

The system reports the overall outcome on the dashboard and report cover, following The Copper Mark's outcome rules.

All criteria Fully Meets

The site receives the mark without an improvement plan.

One or more Partially Meets, none Does Not Meet

The site receives the mark but must submit an improvement plan.

One or more Does Not Meet

The site does not receive the mark and must submit an improvement plan.

Per-criterion output

Every criterion produces four structured outputs

No paraphrased fluff. Direct quotes from your documents, attributed to the source, with verifiable gaps and actionable recommendations.

1 · Verdict

One of three levels + rationale

Fully Meets, Partially Meets or Does Not Meet — plus a 2-3 sentence rationale explaining why this level was selected for this specific criterion.

2 · Evidence

Verbatim quotes, attributed

Direct verbatim quotes from your submitted documents that support the verdict. Each is attributed to the source document name. No paraphrase.

3 · Gaps

Specific missing requirements

Actionable items from the criterion's official requirements that are missing, underdeveloped or inconsistent with the submitted documentation. Cited to specific requirements, not generic observations.

4 · Recommendations

Concrete actions, mapped to gaps

One-to-one mapping with the identified gaps wherever possible. Concrete, scoped, owner-friendly actions you can take to the next assurance cycle.
